A Community of Care
Considering the future direction of your church can be isolating, complex, and emotionally demanding. Many leaders are carrying heavy questions without many safe places to talk them through.
A Community of Care is designed for church leaders wrestling with big questions. Some may be considering how to lead forward within new constraints or feeling forced to explore options their church may never have considered in the past. Often these questions come to a head in wondering about disaffiliation from their denomination. A Community of Care creates space to connect with others, listen deeply, share learnings, and walk alongside one another with care and wisdom.
This is not a debate.
It is not a strategy session.
It is a space for mutual learning, support, and community.
What This
Space Offers
This community exists to support church leaders as they navigate the hard questions about change — not by offering quick answers, but by creating space for shared learning and care.
Together, participants will:
Listen across different experiences and perspectives
Share learnings and questions honestly
Reflect on the relational and pastoral dimensions of leading into the unknown. Including potential disaffiliation.
Form community with others walking similar paths
The focus remains on the churches themselves — their people, their leaders, and the communities they serve.
How We
Will Gather
A Community of Care will gather both online and in person over the coming months.
-
These sessions create space for guided conversation, listening, and shared reflection.
-
A panel of leaders and practitioners will reflect on their experiences, lessons learned, and considerations for care along the way. We are excited to welcome guest contributors from diverse backgrounds who will offer wisdom from learned experience.
